The Aimless Armenian Interviews The Itinerant Indian

Hello, and welcome to this very special Aimless Armenian update. As many of you know, my personal travel blog was recently acquired by the Worldly Wanderers (TM) Corporation. They are a great organization that supports budding travel bloggers such as myself. The transition hasn't been the smoothest. So to really finalize my inclusion into the Worldly Wanderers (TM) Family, management is sending me on a 4-day hike around Oregon's majestic Mt. Hood with one of their more seasoned travelers: The Itinerant Indian! Obviously, this is a huge honor for me. I have been following the Itinerant Indian for years (everybody has). And for 4 days, starting Saturday, August 12th, I will get to hike with and learn from a modern day hiking master.

I was lucky enough to be able to sit down with the often elusive Itinerant Indian to get to know each another a bit better and for a chance to pick his brain a little before our journey. I hope you enjoy our conversation!

NOTE: I am actually writing this intro before the interview has even taken place. My aimlessness over the next few days will prevent me from posting on time, but I have given very strict instructions to the assistant that Worldly Wanderers (TM)  assigned to me to upload the stenographer's record, along with this intro. Enjoy!

Aimless Armenian: Hello, Aimless Armenian here, and I am so lucky to be joined today with none other than the Itinerant Indian! Big get for us, I know! Now, so that nothing is lost in translation, we also have a Hindi translator here, Rima.

Itinerant Indian: What? Why? I speak English...

AA: Oh... wow... heh... Well, I guess you sure have learned a lot through an entire life spent traveling!

II: I was born and grew up in Orange County...

AA: uhh..... ummm.... And at what young age did you decide to cast off societal institutions and devote your life to seeing the world and sharing your experience?

II: What are you talking about? I have a job! And an apartment! I have a degree in biology! We went to college together, Alex! We were roommates! And why is my sister here?!

Rima: I don't even know Hindi...

AA (whispering): Can you just go with it guys? I am trying to cultivate a mythos here...

II: I am starting to regret agreeing to go on this trip with you, Alex...

Rima: Also, this is kind of racist.

AA: Ugh... Forget it. Interview over.

AA (whispering): I gotta remember to tell that assistant not to post this. Eh...  It's probably obvious from the context...

AA (walking out the door): Hey guys, what do you call a fake noodle? An imposta!  ...An imposta!  ...get it?

Crickets: *chirp* *chirp* *chirp*
